Disability Accessibility

In this Issue of Epochfuture 6 we focus on the issue of ‘Disability Accessibility’ from the perspective of practical hope. We believe that in any forward looking society that seeks to offer all its citizens practical hope DA needs to be both a major policy and practical focus.

Something else I find quite frustrating is when a tour operator does not OPENLY advertise the fact that their river cruises through Europe are NOT accessible before one spends $60 on taxi fares to attend one of their Australian information sessions!

When things don't go as planned ...

In April 2014 I was privileged to fly to Broome, Western Australia for the weekend. I was thinking about the articles I was writing for this edition of the CRAFT (EPOCH FUTURE ed.) e-magazine about the Disabled Access - Importance of Psychological and Physical Access and I wanted to include an experience encompassing both psychological and physical barriers.

The Recycled Man - who had two lives

On the 5th December 1995 (Eighteen and a half years ago from 2014), I had a lifechanging experience. In December 1995 I had a very severe brain injury falling off a boogie-board in shallow water in the surf at Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast off Queensland, Australia.
